ASTRAC ASICE Version 6 Release 2

Introduction to ASTRAC ASICE

ASICE from ASTRAC is a follow-on from IBM Info Center/Enhanced (IC/E), with considerable enhancements compared with IBM ICE.  It is a powerful end-user system designed to let you create queries and reports.

The latest release, ASTRAC ASICE version 6.2, was made available on March 30, 2007.

The previous release, ASTRAC ASICE version 6.1, has been available since September 2005 and was a particularly significant new version, incorporating many enhancements. Click this link for an Overview of ASTRAC ASICE v6.1.

ASICE - Continuous Improvement

Since ASTRAC took responsibility for ASICE, it has received continuous improvement, through versions 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.1 and now to 6.2.

New ASICE windowing interface

ASTRAC ASICE is gradually getting a new look, with an optional windowing interface and support for a mouse and scroll bars.

EURO and Y2K support

ASTRAC ASICE version 5 and version 6 have been fully tested for Euro support and Y2k support. IBM ICE has NOT been tested for Euro and Y2K support.
